Guest guest
Blood to blood contact is an extremely rare occurrence in a normal daily setting, and that is what is required for contraction of this " virus " . My brother has hep c and HIV, since 1985. We were both childhood patients at the same hospital. He was only 5 when he was at this hospital after a fall from a second story balcony. I was 12 and had my appendix removed there. This was way before they tested blood for anything. Neither of my parents have it, nor does anyone my brother lives with, nor does anyone I live with other than my youngest son..who by the way had two surgeries before he was a year old...so he did not necessarily get this " condition " from me. (interestingly, he did not receive any blood..but he did have anesthesia..and I think that has something to do with it) Anyway, my brother and I are both over 40, and we are still here, and we have not " infected " anyone. My husband and I never had protected sex, (even during menstruation) we often shared the same razor, and he is absolutely fine. You ultimately will have to decide for yourself what you are comfortable with, but my situation, I believe is very much the norm. A virus is also defined as " something that infects the mind and soul " . I think we become the manifestation of what we believe to be true. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Hi Lucynwidskid, on a hepatitis info website. I forget which one, they claim the virus can survive on some surfaces up to 4 days. The blood is a serious bio- hazard. Do not share toothbrushs, razors. Bleach all blood spills. Yes it's a real concern.
