Guest guest
, It is scary when you have spinal surgery. The last time for me was in 2004 when I was on the OR table as the neurosurgeon cut me open from L1-S2 it took about 13 hours to do all the disectomies and fusions and I remained in rehab over a month it seemed as I had great difficulty moving my legs because of all the pain. I could'nt even the personal things we all have taken forgranted. As far as getting things to sit on you may want to go through your states vocrehab dept. and see what they can do for you. Best of luck! R Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Re: need help w/ pillow decision Personally from my experience I will never go back to a chiro although it may be different for other people. Does anyone recommend a pillow/cushion to use in the car as driving is agony for me and with 3 kids to chauffeur around I do a lot of it. I had looked at one at relax the back and it looked pretty good and was about $125. Dave, you had put in one of your messages to try and avoid surgery and fusion at any cost, that is where I am at the moment. In the last week and a half my lower back pain has incresed to a 7 ish each day and need to have an mri which I am putting off as can tell the same disk has had a meltdown from where the pain is, its now as bad ad before my 1st surgery. Can't help feeling sorry for myself as at 41 is this pain all I have to look forward to. I can't really take anything in the day as have to drive and look after the kids so be the end of the day am mean which I do not like or I could take the pills to help and be in lah lah land. From what I have heard and read on fusions its just a slippery slope to more pain and surgeries so I don't know.

Guest guest
Hi , I am also new to the group and have tried every pillow imaginable from flat feather pillows to temperpedic pillows. Some feld good for a while and some hurt right away. I think it's a very personal thing. I've tried the ones recommended to me by physidal therpists and chiros and they were no better than any others. For me the neck conforming pillows didn't help because my neck is absolutely straight. The best pillow for me is a nice soft fairly flat pillow. Best of luck finding one that works for you! Blessings, Randy > > Hi everyone. My name is . I'm new to the group. Guest guest
Hey ! Yes, I have missed posting lately, I feel so out of touch with everybody and I miss this group! Also, my hubby has been taking the laptop to work with him many days during the week which stinks but it's for the best for him workwise for now. Well, today we actually did have some sun...BUT, just found out that there is another tropical storm brewing out there and might be coming our way too. :'( I surely have been feeling all of this pain wise, not to mention the extra work in preparations for us and my furkids, but we're alright. Now keep those fingers crossed that the next one doesn't come our way, this is exausting!! How is everything going with you ? Are you hanging in there?? Making any progress with your fight? Hope so! Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Â I want to thank you for calling me that was incredible and I am still traumatized. I am sorry that I have not called you back-- I have lost your number I think. Love Annie A poet is, after all, to see From: Debbie Carlomagno <debbiecarlomagno@...> Subject: Re: need help w/ pillow decision neck pain Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 12:08 AM Hey ! Hope so!
