Guest guest
Tom You can't just catch CMT and as a person who lives and is dying with this disease I find your remarks very offensive. Just go away you silly little man and get a life and let the people who matter on this site have a chance of doing the best they can. You are pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I got it around the summer of last year after a blood transfusion. See the thing is that I live in Canada and the blood supply is controlled by the governemnt and they bungled it up and I got CMT by mistake. So I wanted to meet other people who had it and maybe find the best way to cope with it. It's hard because no one I know has it or has even heard of it. My doctor wasn't even familiar with it until he looked it up in a medical encyclopedia. I'm hoping that I can get a prescription of medical marijuana to help deal with it. Well I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Guest guest
Sue, Don't you think you are a little hasty in blasting this man? If he was just diagnosed with CMT. He needs to be with a group and maybe learn a few things about it and how to live with it. What better place to be to learn a few things here, as I have been doing for the last few days. Don't be so quick on the draw. His doctor may not know enough about CMT to explain to him that it is not a contagious disease, the gene may have been " hiding " until now. Even the fact sheet that I just recieved says that, CMT may not show up until later years. I watched my father suffer with this and cryed when my son would trip, fall and cry with frusturation because he couldn't do anything " right " . It was at this time that he started sneaking around with some of his friends and smoking pot. Jimmy says it helps, but not enough. I have a lot of questions to ask still but I may not for a while, for fear of being blasted by someone who has suffered a long long time. God Bless you and yours and my prayers are with all of you!
