Danny, I am from the great state of Massachusetts, & I live near

Cod. Our state is one of the few who gives their low income residents

wonderful comprehensive free, or affordable health insurance. June

Since I'm new in the group and don't really know anyone, I was

wondering if there would be any objection of letting the group know where we all

hail from. Me...from the south. More specifically MS. It's amazing the

different levels of care there are from one locale to the other.

OK June,

     That settles it. If I ever get a chance to leave WI ( which has great

health care for those who can afford it ) I'm moving to Mass. Won't happen until

hubby is no longer alive. Not ready for that.

I am Dave the moderator I live in Reading, PA. For the prior 19 years

I lived in and was operated on in Lancaster, PA and Philadelphia PA

(at the Jefferson University Hospital).

I now live in Michigan a little bit north and east of Grand Rapids. I'm

originally from Long Island, NY, but I've been here since 1982.

I need medical attention but can't get it because I don't have insurance. I've

been trying to get disability but you need doctor updates and I can't go to

doctors (Neurosurgeon and Neurologist) because I don't have insurance and I

don't have the money to pay up front. It's a vicious circle.

I've moved from west central OH to east central IN and have been here since Dec

08. My mother and father are from IN and I never expected that I would retire

back where it all started. A person might think I would know family here but my

parents didn't keep touch over the years and they passed in 89.

I do like my home now though.

One thing for sure. No matter where all us " groupies " are from......we're all

in pain and seem to get the same " treatment " or lack thereof. Sounds like some

states have better programs for some ie: Wisconsin (i think we should all move

there hehe) My " wife " and the reason for the quotes is we had to divorce so she

could get covered. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I don't feel the state is being

cheated....not with the taxes I pay. My main problems are 2 ACF's, severe

spinal stenosis, Herniated L1 and one above (mind isn't working). My meds are ms

contin, zanaflex, klonopin, lortab and lyrica at one point. The " wifes "

meds......oh, lord.....wouldn't know where to start. I think I'm going to get

her to become a " groupie " . I think she could gleen alot of knowledge from

everyones experiences....if nothing elelse....the support this group gives.
