Guest guest
Hi I am now 47 and have had CMT for as long as I can remember....but was finally diagnosed when I was 17. I still remember the cruel kids in school...and dreading gym class. Always being the last one to be picked for a team, etc. I have gone on to accomplish many things though. I became an RN despite my instructor telling me that I would never make it as a nurse. I worked in the Operating Room for 22 years and was even voted " Employee of the Month " . I wanted to call that instructor soooooo bad!!!!! I am now in the process of applying for Social Security disability. I broke my foot in April and have really noticed an increase in my symptoms since then. I have finally come to accept my CMT(which I denied for a long long time) and I am now more determined than ever to be happy with what I have done and what I can still do. Now that I am not working...I have found that my energy level has increased tremendously. I am looking forward to doing other things I never had the time to do. I may have this nasty thing....but I am determined to not let it run my life. Robin ===== Hope you have Happy Holidays __________________________________________________
