Guest guest
So what is seltzer water in Australia???? Does anyone know? Cheers to all Donna -- It worked!! I tried seltzer water when my e was clogged. It worked like a dream! I was so surprised... finally something a can rely on! Just to be sure I wasn't hallucinating, I took some sips before a dinner party. There again it worked. Thank you California Marilyn for telling about your tried and true solution to this uncomfortable disease. What a blessing to find this group. from Oregon
Guest guest
Seltzer water is carbonated water. You have Perrier there? It's also called sparkling water. It's champagne without the kick. Do you have an equivalent? from Oregon
Guest guest
from Oregon, I am so glad it worked for you. So many have said it was no help at all, but it has been a god send for me, and now for you. I think the truth is just a sip, not a chug a lug. a little sip before each bite of food. It does, according to my doctor, trigger the esophagus to open. I can't tell you how happy I am that I was able to contribute something useful for you. I am a newcomer to this group also, even though I have suffered with this for over 38 years undiagnosed. If only someone had told me about this years ago. Good luch , Marilyn from California
Guest guest
Donna, seltzer water is anything with carbonation. Coca Cola, 7 up, Perrier, champagne, sparkling water. anything with bubbles. Try it. Marilyn from Calif.

I don't know if there is a different name for it in Australia. Seltzer is just effervescent water. Sometimes it is called club soda, although that often has sugar added. Either can be mixed with flavored syrups to make other soft drinks. I would think many soft drinks would work as well as seltzer, but, that is just a guess. You can make your own seltzer. Get a seltzer maker, which is also know as a, seltzer bottle or soda syphon, (often seen in the Three Stooges movies). Or, adding a tsp each of citric acid and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to a glass of water will also make seltzer, but this is higher in sodium than the seltzer bottle method. You can also make a carbonated drink by taking one that is acidic (fruit juice) and adding baking soda to it. The following U.S. site has seltzer makers. http://www.popsoda.com/sodastuff.html You can probably find them in a good kitchen or bar supply. notan_ostrich

Guest guest
Marie, That's really wonderful news all around for you! I'm sorry your brother didn't fare so well. Perhaps something soon will work for him. Sally It Worked!! Hi everyone, I just got my lab tests results back. I ended my third try on treatment, Pegasys and Ribavirin this time, and after six weeks all my lab work, including the viral load and liver enzymes, came back normal. I know I have to wait six months or more to be sure it's gone, but the last two times I was on treatment, the virus came back my last month of treatment. Unfortunately, my brother, who was also on treatment, didn't clear the virus and I really feel badly for him, since he had a much tougher time with it. Just wanted to share the news. I'm finally settled in Pensacola, FL, after moving from Niceville, FL about 10 weeks ago, so now I really feel like I have a new lease on life. Blessings to all, Marie
