Guest guest
Hi Alley....are we twins separated at birth? Today I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on my face.....doc is taking it off Monday. I've had it for months and kept forgetting to show him.....it's not noticeable cuz it's around the chin area. I wonder if skin cancer is more prevalent in HCV patients? Hmmmmmm. Guest guest
Carol, That is a good question! I would love to see some studies on how and cancer, esp since riba is a carcinogen. I keep looking for info on it but haven't found any. I don't think they think it's a big issue, but most of us are " baby boomers " and we discovered our hep in our 40's or more and that is also when cancers like to strike. I have a lady friend who has cirrhosis but has breast cancer and she refused to take tamifloxin (sp) cuz it is hard on the liver. She can't do treatment until she's free of cancer for five years. I think there are some connections with hep, cancer and treatment, but it's only a guess. alley
