Good for you. Welll at least now you know how

to avoid it, yes, and will be empathetic to people

who have it, right? Congratulations!

Rob,

That's excellent news! Thank you for bothering to share it with us. I wish

you all the best in all the rest.

Be well,

Sally

EXCEPTIONALLY good news!

I just got off the phone with my GI doctor, I have tested negatively

for hep c. I jotted down a few things, the test he ordered for me was a

riba type, much more accurate than the standard test my primary care

doc gave me. There is no sign of the virus in my body whatsoever. All

of the liver functions were normal too.

Thanks for all your support and I wish all of you all the best in your

treatments and recovery.

Given my past lifestyle, I'm very sympathatic to people with all sorts

of problems. I learned a lot about HCV, never knew how devastating it

was, thanks to all of you for sharing with me and for the support.

OK, I'll hang around this group for a while. Maybe I can learn more

and help a few others out that have had a close call as I did.

I have never heard of a riba type test, can you explain that more rob? I have had the heptimax which is supposedly the lowest test, down to 2-5 iu/ml.. if there is something lower, I want to know about it,,Rob <leftturn49@...> wrote: I just got off the phone with my GI doctor, I have tested negatively for hep c. Excellent idea Rob. You are not the first member this has happened to. And most folks come in here scared and uncertain of what is going to happen. Then they find out news such as yours. You can help those who are going through that emotional roller coaster. Love JanetRob <leftturn49@...> wrote: OK, I'll hang around this group for a while. I've also read some scary numbers on people having both HIV and HCV.

I would have not guessed that HCV was so " popular " . I'm going back

for another blood test as a follow up in a few of months, as a

suggestion from the GI doc.

Thanks Janet, it was a tough month for sure. I'll stick around, I'm

having another follow up blood test in a few months anyway.
