Hi Everyone, Judy G,

I don`t drive so don`t have personal

experience of adapting vehicles as

such. Is the electric lift type ramp out

of your price range? These seem to

be the safest type. A taxi company I

use has a pair of metal

runners for loading wheelchairs.

There are 2 runners and on the van

end each has a bolt-like piece that

goes into small holes in the floor of the

van to hold them securely. The

runners are more than wide enough to

take the wheels and are raised up on

both sides so that you can`t go over

the edge, they are also very light to lift

into position.

Joyce.
