Yeast Infection from treatment

My mother recently attempted treatment for her Hep C, she is type 1A.

She was on treatment for 3 months. There was no change in her viral

load, and she was having heart palpitations. She came off the

treatment about two and half months ago. During the last month of

treatment she started to have mouth pain. When she inquired about it

to her Doc, he informed her that it was just a " symptom " of the drugs.

The mouth pain that she had been suffering from has turned out to be

thrush. She has been on two types of antibiotics, and has not gotten

any releif, in fact, it has spread to her nether regions, and is quite

uncomfortable.

Has anyone else suffered from this " side effect " ? If so, how long did

it take for the thrush to clear, and what were you perscribed? She

will go in on Tues. to see the doc again. Any help or suggestions

would be greatfully appreciated.
