Guest guest
eeze!! Give us a break will you? ACNE and hepatitis C and are just a tad different. I'm glad you cleared up your skin but this junk will do NOTHING to the viral load in an HCV or HIV patient. As a person who purports to be a 'medical tech' you should know better than to push that crap on us.

Give it to us free if it's so great. Don't come in here selling junk just to make a blessed buck off of ill people.
Guest guest
Hi, Faye, All the very best to you with your upcoming surgery. I sincerely hope that, once you are hooked up, you can get some real results this time. Who knows - the new implant may even work as a " trainer " for the old one to follow. It could happen! Easy surgery and recovery! ) Jackie
Guest guest
Congratulations on being hooked-up and bilateral, Faye! I'm just ahead of you by a few weeks and I can tell you it does get better. I'm using both CI's despite the suggestion to wear just the new one for awhile. What for? I can hear better with two! LOL And at my mappings, while we work with just the new one so far, I always test it with both before I leave the office to be sure they are working together. Continued good luck! ) Jackie Implanted - right ear - Oct.2002 - Nucleus 24/3G Reimplanted - right ear - Jan.2005 - Nucleus 24C/3G Implanted - left ear - Sept.2005 - Nucleus-Freedom
Guest guest
Hey kiddo, Your family will love you no matter what. It's not fair to you to carry this burden alone. Personally I would be having the dentist investigated as his tools could be spreading it to many others. Call the AMA and ask for directions on how to proceed. It's so hard to prove where you got this, when and how but you have very recent bloodwork to prove you didn't have it until recently. As far as family goes, teach them how not to contract it. You won't give it to them. It's blood to blood so don't let anyone touch your blood, toothbrush, razor, manicure material and just practice safety. When I cut myself, it's everyone out of the room after handing me clorox and rags. If you ever can't take care of a cut yourself, make sure they have gloves on before touching you. Be sure and alert all nurses prior to bloodwork to double glove. This is blunt but I feel necessary. Sex wise, it's rare to contract hep c unless both of u have a small cut or abraision so roughhousing is out. Ex and I were married 18 years and he doesn't have it. There is all kinds of info on the net so have family look it up to ease concerns. We are not lepors, we are victims. Guest guest
You are undergoing the stages of grief my dear with the first being denial, sorrow, then comes anger. Get angry first and track down the monster who gave u this horrible disease so they can't pass it on to some other poor soul. I was in denial for 20 years so I know what I'm talking about. You have many years before it will get you. I think, oh well, Fl drivers will get me first. If they don't, I scuba diving with COPD, trekking through jungles with fluer de lances and jaguars, am moving to a third world country, I fish in 12 to 15 ft waves, lived through 5 hurricanes, bungee jumping, tree canopy trips, and the physical brutality of my ex. God has a plan for all of us and you won't go before whatever your job on earth is done. I'm convinced part of my job is to help pass the word about hep. and to help others understand it's a test of one's self, not a death sentence.
