Someone I know has hepatitis. I don't know which type; only that she

has had it since age about 12 and that she has an allergy to alcohol.

A few bottles of beer and she gets violently sick.

That person is now 62 and last I knew was in good health.

So, apparently it is possible to have it and live a very long life

without any problems. Or is this assumption wrong?

Will be reading the archives, which takes time, but would appreciate

any comments, thanks.

....yes, very possible, even very probable. if diagnosed before it gets going

vigorously & lifestyle is consistent with good liver health in diet, stress

levels, exercise, sexual, spiritual, psychological, etc....it's easily

probable. it's also possible to come out of a more advanced symptomatic

conditon & turn it aound and manage it well into old age. there's lots of

variables, individual strengths & weaknesses, the winds of change/fate,

unknown or not acknowledged contributors to both/either ease or disease.

etc.

many things are under your control, many are not.

It is very possible to live with it for a lifetime. For most of us the

damage is

very slow, and many people never even know they have it.

The ones who do know early on..seem to be those persons with a history

of drug or alcohol abuse/use. But who knows which causes the damage..

the drugs or the so called " virus " .

It's good to learn all you can about it, just be aware that most of the

information

available..especially on the internet is published by the drug companies, and

they tend to embelish a great deal, in an effort to make us seek treatment.

I have been infected since age 12 it would seem. I am over 40 now, and would

not have known had I not started to have trouble with my thyroid gland.

I was actually diagnosed by a dermatologist...go figure.

my guess is the virus causes the damage, enabled to by it's environment

which offers a better home when altered by drug or alcohol abuse (especially

alcohol), and any immune system weakening or chemical changes from other

disease, nutritional deficiencies, or other possible factors like genetic

construction & planetary progressions/transits.
