Guest guest
Marilyn...what sort of symptoms are you having now? There are certainly many ingredients in liver flushes that can be harmful, but most often because we tend not to get enough water with them, and thats where the problem arises. We need three to four pounds of water just to store enough glycogen to get us thru the day when we don't eat right, and if all your water gets used up processing the ingredients of the flush out, then you will be at a deficit for water and you're not gonna feel good. Water and food become problematic for hep patients. We don't have hunger and thirst regulation that a normal person has. You cannot " detox " a liver however...your liver IS your detox center. Cant detox the detox...know what I mean? You can however contribute to its well being by adding and subtracting certain things. Fibromyalgia is directly related to metabolic hormone deficiencies..I'm sure you know that..and because your liver produces carrier proteins for those hormones, even when you make them, they may not get where they need to go effectively. What type of doctor are you seeing next?
