Guest guest
Hello CMT friends, I wanted to let you all know that about 1 month ago, I started taking the supplement Coenzyme Q10. I had seen discussion about it on this and other CMT forums as well as references in the CMTA newsletter. Amazingly, I am noticing a real difference in my overall health. I am less fatigued, and I am noticing a gradual increase in strength and balance. I am 43, and was diagnosed at age 5 with CMT. So, I am very experienced at living with CMT. I have had very noticeable progresssion over the last 3 years. (After I hit that magic age of 40.) ANyway, the CoQ10 seems to be making a difference. I just picked up a full cup of coffee and it startled me at how light the cup felt! I am not drop dead tired anymore. I am walking better and have more stamina. I have added a number of supplements off and on to my diet over the years. This is the first time I have noticed what I consider a measurable benefit. I am taking 150 mg per day. Just wanted to share. I am still shaking my head at how light that cup of coffee felt in my hands! What a cool feeling! Guest guest
Warren - Are you taking this in addition to any anti-depressant you may be on? I'm on Elavil and am concerned with taking this in addition to that. Guest guest
Hello Ruth! So very great that you feel so god with Q10! I have also heard several persons say they are god. I tested them some years ago but felt just a little dizzy (perhaps it didn´t depend on the Q10). Maybe I will try them again, had to use both hands tonight while drinking coffee so it would be god to be a little stronger. Again, how wonderful for you feeling better " because you are worth it " Regards from Rose-Marie (Sweden)
Guest guest
Jim: I haven't really dealt much with herbs, but have tried CoEnzyme Q10 (200mg) and seem to notice more energy. My husband has also started taking it, a lower dose - 50mg, and says he has a better workout in the mornings while using it. I bought mine thru the Vitamin Shoppe on the net, but you can even get it at Wal-mart up to 150mg which is priced at about $35 for 30 tablets.
