ello, Mitch (et al),

I was diagnosed

with Hep C in Dec., just before my wedding--cute, huh?

I have a great guy, however, with GREAT

insurance--I was even more grateful for that fact shen I found

out what Osco was charging the insurance for a

month's supply---$4,356! Good Lord.

I, too, was

diagnosedd with Hep B when I was a teen--back in the Stone

Age. It was in '68, I believe, and my boyfriend was a

carrier. I was a hippie back then, and it never occured to

us that we might end up with a disease for our

needle use. We were so naive---! Now, it seems that my

21-yr.old daughter may have gotten it when I was pregnant

with her, and she has 3 little boys to think of. The

dr. is going to test the boys, too. I just cried, and

felt so guilty. It has never occured to my husband to

feel apprehensive about being with me--we had already

been living together for over a year when we married,

and he feels that if he had already been exposed for

that long, that condoms and such aren't going to make

much difference now. (We met on AOL--I'm 45, and he's

33, and the best thing that ever happened to me!)

I'm on the combo therapy, too, and the days when I do

my injections and capsules are pretty much a

write-off (fatugue, nausea, etc.).
Has anyone else

experienced a reaction to the sun on the injection sites?

Mine show an egg-sized bright red area, and look

really funky.
The med that the dr. gave me for my

nausea has a bad interaction with my psych meds, so it's

a toss-up as to whether I want to throw up, or risk

coma and death. I also have the weirdest appe-

tite--sometimes, I'm starving (and then throw up whatever I eat),

and other times food looks so gross---!

If

anyone is in Arizona, I'm in the Phoenix area, and

welcome any communication. I'm disabled, also, with

manic-depression and high anxiety, and spend most of my time at

home, taking care of my husband, my teen-age son, and,

of course, myself.
Somedays, that alone is almost

more than I can do.

Glad to be on

board!

Kathi
