Makes perfect sense but I too am a well know lunatic and also fanatic

about surviving like you. I am lucky to have the peg interferon

which I believe stays in the system longer.

My initial insurance paid for ANYTHING so I got it no prob. Switched

ins and and had to threaten a law suite to get the peg and riba on

time and got the doc to call and write a letter. Screwed around on

the phone with em for 3 days and just got the run around.

Finally told em they could probably succed in killing me by screwing

up my treatment but I'd find a way to live long enought to sue the

fuck out of them. Those are of course the exact words I used. Got

everything delivered 3 days later expesss shipped fed ex.

Now I have a direct phone line to a treatment supervisor in case I

have a problem with anything.

In regards to field stripping weapons we started playing one up on

each other with blindfold field strip, assembly and function checks.

After a month we were so good we could take every type rifle, pistol,

shot gun, submachine gun and two machine guns from the arms room

disassemble em one at a time. Put the parts in a burlap sack and

then blindfolded put the pieces in piles for each weapon. Then go

from pile to pile and reassemble and function test each weapon.

It sounds nuts but in combat which I was lucky enough to avoid you

may only be able to clean and service the weapon at night so it is

useful. Kills the time when your bored and waiting till 5:00 PM to

start getting drunk. It's really not as hard as it may sound.

If you liked the small arms you go bannas over shooting the tank

cannon and heavy machine gun. When you pull the cannon trigger the

60 ton Tank jerks back like somebody slapped it. Then a 2 foot long

spent shell goes clang on the floor and the smoke rolls out and smell

of the corite is so strong it gives you a cordite buzz. There is a

fan but it smells just like victory.

Then watching two miles away the target getting hit by the projectile

traveling way faster than the speed of sound. Hyper kinetic rounds

they are called due to the hyper velocity and kenetic shock affect of

the hit. Without explosives the projectiles still cause an explosion

when it hits metal cause its going so fast the steel vaporises and

catches on fire. Those babies can cut through 8 feet of solid

steel. Can't tell you about the lazer and computer assited aming or

the machine gun or I'll wet my pants...

I too missed so much school in Jr. High and Hs. I hade to change the

bad grades and absentee counts on the report card to keep from

getting beat. Have no idea how I graduated it was truly a miracle...

I'd photo copy my good student sisters report card and mine then cut

and past until I had C's or better on mine and no cut classes. For 5

years my parents thought all report cards were photo copies. Told em

the real copies go in the permantenent file don't you know.

Glad my youth was not wasted behind a shool desk.

Sally,

My mistake I did mean to say a mental detective. Like inspector

Clusoe.

Well all I can say about the little bastards loving you so is what's

not to love. Based on the research I saw which as a statistician I

know was as conclusive as it gets, taking care of yourself well may

like you did may be the only reason why your still trading jokes with

other mental detectives.

According to my first hep c doc if I'd a been drinking the last 15

years or so I'd probably not still be around or woulda had to stop

drinking already and be real sick with out chemo to blame.

Not just mentally either.

Heck no not a complet detail strip. In the Army they only take em

all appart to fix em if a spring or something breaks which is once

every 10 million rounds or something. I never did it far as I can

remember but may have since I do love to tear things appart. We'd

just clean and oil the lower reciever with a tooth brush not detail

strip. The big thing is getting the upper reciever clean it'll shoot

forever with a dirty barrel and lower reciever. Just can't get mud

in the barrel either.

I was an assistant armorer for 6 months and never saw any military

weapon need real repair except the ma duce witch aint very dependable

and has maybe more than a hundred weird little parts especially in

the bolt/slideing block. One silly bastard put a ma duce togeather

wrong and then forced it closed I know not how and he feigned

innocence.

Being a dumb ass tanker (DAT) as we are refered to in polite society

he probably used a sludge hammer which is the Tankers tool of first

resort and fired it. Didn't explode but off to the repair depo it

went.

Some famous Tank General Bradley or Patton or Abrams perhaps said if

you take a tank trooper with nothing but an anvil and drop him in the

desert for one week when you come back the anvil will be broken.

Most Tankers would be insulted and insist they could break any anvil

ever made in 10 min flat, but Tanker's have a lot of pride in their

branch of service. Not sure why but were crazy, dumb and proud of it

for no apparent reason.

They'd tell us all the time how special we are and how God gave the

M1 Abrams Tank to America to kill the evil comunists (at that time)

who want to destroy our way of life and kick our parent out of their

trailers. Since that is true and we are Tanker's that makes us

God's choosen people designated to kill the infedels.

I guess cause so may of us were in special ed class at school we

naturally took to the notion of still being special and just believed

it all. Still being gardians of the free world does take a toll on a

young man which except for constant drunkenness may have become a

burden. I can't remember.

Some guys used hyper velocity cannon rounds to " accidentaly " shoot

cows at night when they wondered on to the firing range. My buddy

was on the clean up detail and said the cows exploded. Parts and

pieces all over the place. Hamburger here chopped liver there, her a

leg, there a leg. What a mess. Takes all day to pick up a cow one

piece at a time.

I see you and Sally been up all night trading mental detective

stories.

Sally,

Remain is a word in the American Language. As in " I remain commited

to the mental ward " . Or as in the case I used, I remain/continue to

be appaled by your bad mouthin my good docs reputation and normal

desire to vacation in the Bahamas for free.

Teach you got i right takin ways?

  • 5 years later...

It sounds like a form of dumping; I was experiencing it for a period of time myself. It happens within 3 hours of eating and it does have to do with what you've eaten. I found I was sugar intolerant since I had not had much sugar in a long period of time since surgery. When I reintroduced sugar, I had the same/similar type reaction. Now that I eat sugar again in small doses, I don't have the reaction. My body has gotten used to having "some" sugar instead of NO sugar, and it's OK again. Since you've had blood work done and everything is normal, I suspect dumping. Bypass patients have more issues with dumping, but it can happen with sleeve patients, too. Think about what you were eating the times that you've had these occurrences. Was there sugar and/or fat intake in the same sitting? Think back on it, and Google "dumping" and weight loss. It's like a hyperglycemic reaction - same symptoms - it's just unplesant but isn't doing any real physical damage. My suggestion is don't have fat and sugar and/or alcohol together. Intake a little sugar - like a cookie - so your body gets used to some sugar, and don't combine fattie foods and sugar at the same time. Go read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperglycemia and you'll see that the symptoms are the same, but for you, it has to do with too much sugar hitting the blood stream.

>> Good Morning - > > I was wondering if any of you have had episodes like I have started having lately.
