Guest guest Posted December 13, 2001 Report Share Posted December 13, 2001 i forgot to mention the reason the doctor wanted to do this test. there is a history of MS in my family, and not to say that he thinks it's MS he wants to rule out all other nerologic disorters. i have a niece also that has nerve damage but with many other health problems on top of it. doctors aren't sure what is causing her troubles with her nerves because of all the other problems she has. she can't taste, feel pain in her throat and other parts of her body, or smell. she was born blind, with no immune system, and problems growing. she is on steroids to grow, meds. for the immune problems and so forth so he just wants to rule out any possibilities hoping to find something that can be corrected. or maybe even better treated. and i know that doctors sometimes say thing to make us feel more comfortable but he did say that if it were his own son he would want to do it. but it helps to talk about it with someone that has had it done. so i appreciate it and i am glad i found this site. i am listed on the CMT:support group also. and it's been a great help. renee Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
