Guest guest
Oh no it's not too soon, you might get to see a chick fight. But be sure and arm your girlfriend, tell her all your wife's moves and she might win. A woman will hold onto a man she got scars for! And scars, especially facial ones, just make her look more interesting, never mind the ass. Then you can get huge matching tatoos and break up, hey? Guest guest
Michele, Thanks. I'll arm the GF with a sawed off shotgun and say shoot the wife when she opens her mouth to lie. I've got a nice little Beretta skeet shooter that should cut down just fine. I'll give the wife my car keys to make it a fair fight. After the new GF fights for me it will bring us closer. I'll bring a camcorder so I can replay to relive the romantic moment of the GF's victory. I know it's too soon but I just want a chick to be nice and smile at me sometimes and maybe in a few dates have some huggs or even later when were real close have her ask me when I got a fever If I want a Tylenol and water. Thats my big sex fantasy a chick that asks me if I want a glass of water when I have a fever. That's why it never worked out with the wife I was too demanding. Guest guest
And I'm such a good looker-after, that's what most of my social work at the hospital was. I figured the patients weren't going to tell me what was really going on with them unless they were as physically comfortable as they could be, so I did what I called " fluffing " to start the interview. I'd make sure their pillow was comfy, they were warm enough (and if they werent' I'd go down the hall to the old-fashioned blanket steamer and bring one back, put it next to their skin and pile the other blankets over them so they got good and warm). If they couldn't drink water and were thirsty, I'd give them some lemon swabs or ice, and make sure they were currents on their pain meds. If they hadn't heard from their doc I'd call his office and give him the message and try to pin down a time he would come. THEN I'd bring up the subject of how they were going to get home, who was going to be there to take care of them, did they need Meals-on-Wheels or Home Health Nursing, that kind of stuff. Several patients wrote my boss and said I was the kindest person at that hospital. Just common sense stuff. And when my sister broke her ankle I gave her pain meds before she went to the hopsital (I knew they wouldn't for awhile) and advocated for her, got her water and a blanket when the staff were busy, and slept in the room with her the night before surgery. Everyone needs a Health Agent to make sure all the right things are done and asked for. I think you could set your goal a little higher here, she can at least pretend that she cares what you feel like. . .> Michele, I agree with you there, my husband wasn't up for having a sick wife, he wanted someonet to take care of him. . . that stuff only was supposed to go one way so when I broke the agreement, he left the marriage. Ah, karma will get him good, as it has gotten me for all my previous evils.. >> I know it's too soon but I just want a chick to be > nice and smile at > me sometimes and maybe in a few dates have some > huggs or even later > when were real close have her ask me when I got a > fever If I want a > Tylenol and water. Guest guest
Mike you dont need the A & P bags anymore for the ugly ones you just put on that virtual reality head set stick the ear phones in and your in the game. Now ya gotta think of a good excuse to be wearing the set did ya find that utopia silver site the one with the hepc info and the electron mic scann of hcv . You know they have the molecular weights pinded down on these viruses hiv hcv and the others they even have the molecular weights of pegintron and pegasys its expressed in daltons. I guess he was the cat who figgured out how to weigh just about nothing .I do beleive in your product info it gives you the weight pegintron carries a tad bit less weight then pegasys but both are still 40/50 svr with 48 weeks 72 brings you up ..I should never have cleared 8 months to neg but i guess all those things helped the weight loss ,.ph drop ,extra time, having a plan and back up takeing the riba as stated in info 70% better up take. After 6 months i was around 160 lbs i would take the riba 3 x a day 2 in morning 1 at lunch and 2 at dinner but i would take a couple of tranks maybe a darvactt or ultram or a hydra morphine on a really bad day then chase it all with a couple beers ., On that stuff it would turn a bad day into a good one but you know Mike the pegintron is weight based so at 130 still doing the 180 dose i was over spec on both meds by quite a bit as you pointed out with the riba ,they cant understand why i svred but as usually its right in front of them ,if they would only open their eyes . Their another guy on site asking about the silver he wants to build a colloidal silver generator and make his own not a bad idea then you can know your quality control ,its easy to through togther . Guest guest
Michele, What are our options for dealing with/accepting ugly men? Or more important, dealing with self-important or insensitive men? I know that I'm turned off by a groveller, but I do want a man that will consider the situation I'm in when I start this tx. Which, by the way, is 1/2 in the pharmacy now. My insurance won't pay for the Riba that packages with the Pegasys, so they are doing some sort of " generic " I've never heard of. The Pegasys is there. And I have a call in to my Dr for the increased dosage on the Riba. The ex-boyfriend I was with the last time around was a bit of a jerk, but at least didn't threaten to beat me up when I didn't cook or clean the kitchen for weeks at a time. I've heard of such treatment. I don't know if I'd have the strength to walk out on treatment like that. The anxiety is starting to kick in. <dither> At least I know how to get and keep my glass of water, good for half or more of a day. Or maybe it's the wind with the storm system coming on here? Well, off to join my support group of women. I should probably shower first for this one? Guest guest
Sally, I don't know the answer - my husband left me 6 months before the diagnosis was made, when we knew I was sick but not what it was. Then I was with a woman for 4 years. The problem with her was we never had any time when both of us were off treatment at the same time. We sure saw eachother through the worst! We're still close even though I moved away. I usually tell men right away, practically the first thing, that I have HepC. And if they're interested I tell them more, but that tends to weed out the weeds so I don't waste my time on them. And I'm used to being alone, so it works out OK. Fortunately I'm living with my sister who can't kick me out except to my other sister, and she's too far away from my doctor. So I have a place to land. I just kinda feel I won't get into any serious relationship until I beat the virus, or it would have to be an extraordinary man and there are not that many around who would put up with me. You see the problem? 8-) So good luck, that's half of the secret or maybe all of it. . . . Michele __________________________________________ DSL – Something to write home about. Guest guest
Thanks, , when I moved here I called the ALF and they told me of the nearest HepC support groups. The nearest one is still 45 minutes driving away, meets only once a month, and doesn't offer much support. So I'm thinking of starting one at the hospital where my sister works, it would pick up all the Beach Cities around Laguna Beach (Newport Beach, Dana Point, San Clemente) since the hospital is in Mission Viejo. I ran a group when I was up in Napa and that was a great thing for me. A bunch of us went through treatment together and you're so right - there's nothing like real-life support. We met twice a month and ended up having a potluck of munchies and drinks every time, we'd have BBQ's in the summer and it was a good social circle too. I feel if a guy can't handle knowing about it right away, he's not going to be supportive further on down the line and I don't want to waste my time. I've met some great guys in support groups, I'm waiting for one guy's wife to die so I can marry him - just kinda kidding! Kinda. . . Guest guest
Michele, Thanks, glad groveling makes up for it but now I got thinkin. I do not need to grovel... If you gals reject all us ugly or self- important or insensitive guys then who's left to date. Not guys that's for sure. Just work on lowering your expectations enough and you can find a nice insensitive guy and have a normal unhappy relationship. Look at me I had a stellar marriage going but ruined it by having such high expectations. Mike > > > > > > Michele, > > > > > > What are our options for dealing with/accepting > > ugly men? Guest guest
Michele, If your ex-husband was that unsympathetic before you were diagnosed, you're probably better off not having him around after the diagnosis. Do you send him cards every year reminding him to get tested? Just to make things fun? Ohhhhh.. I'm sooooo bad! I got a girlfriend wants me to come live with her. But I get crazy being around her for more than an hour or two. Living there? I'd never survive. She already has a husband and a wife. Dunno where I'd fit. The eternal girlfriend? I've had many a husband and boyfriend leave me. Never over physical illness. Might well have been over insanity. One never knows about that one, does one? Two? I mean, I know I'm crazy, and they knew I was crazy, but did they know I was CRAZY? I'm glad you have sisters. I have none. I have one brother but we don't speak. Particularly since he took it upon himself to try to " warn off " my last 2 husbands, saying I'd kill them. WTF!?? Is that family? Oh, I guess maybe it is. Maybe he's related to some of Mike's family? He's only half brother to me. We share the incest/child molestation part of the family. I think this should tell me something? And then he was all incensed about me not " forcing " my daughter to marry the father of her children. He just looked dumbstruck when I informed him that marriage isn't a cure for pregnancy. The pharmacy has the pegasys part of my tx in. They are awaiting arrival of the Riba portion to hand it over to me. And I wasn't planning to start the shots before the colon-end-oscopy was done. Just seems a bit much to be enjoying violent diarrhea along with virulent flu symptoms. Sally RE: Hope Springs yada yada Sally, I don't know the answer - my husband left me 6 months before the diagnosis was made, when we knew I was sick but not what it was. 8-) So good luck, that's half of the secret or maybe all of it. . . . Michele __________________________________________ DSL - Something to write home about. Guest guest
Michele, i get your kinda of kidding i might find myself wating for a grupie girl to complete tx and then who knows ,im gonna make sure she gets this thing the 1st time if at all possible. You should start a live support group because even metting once a month gives you a look at the live stock and we all have or had some of the same problems sounds like your in an excelent area and position to do a live support . I always chit chat on the phone or on computer with some of our groupies some are in bad shape and we try to help them in any way possible even going as far as offering half a liver should it come to that . I hope you and Sally dont take me and Mike serious im just trying to give him a 30 second laugh and i know he needs to laugh he keeps me laughing. Im not dealing with all the things he is, tx is bad enough who needs the extras .I hope im done with the hcv i put all my eggs in 1 basket for 1 super try i thought that was the best way to handle it ,yes the 18 month tx was long i got used to it.It was not bad at all just long and boring, i would not want to do it again but thats why i did the tx in that style all or nothing and if it didnt work i knew the current meds were useless but i got 33 months svr so i have no complants even worked 60% of time on tx . Guest guest
You are so right, I'd forgotten that Ann Landers once said that anyone could get married if they lowered their standards enough. Guest guest
Michele, My sister who is a saint said to her lazy husband one day that he did not live up to the standards she expected from decent people. He said " load up yur wagon and go on then or stay and lower yur standars to suit my bad behavior " She saw a therapist alnoe and learned to lower her standards.
