Guest guest
I once talked to on the QVC channel he was selling his diet aid of the cards that you use for the food you eat and then you do his rock exercises. I told him I had RSD and couldn't do any standing, jumping around exercises he told me to do all the exercises in the video sitting down. The arm rises, leg lifts and body twisting. I forgot them until reading your post. So try the little we can do sitting. I found that watching T.V. is really pretty boring hour after hour so I crochet, paint things that I have made with my woodworking equipment all adapted for me by my husband he fixes all the machines on tables that I can get to with my wheelchair, or with my stool. I quilt and just about everything you can do craft wise. There are a lot of things to keep your mind and body occupied if you just adapt. Anyone that wants help with any adaption remedies just ask I will give you all the things my husband has learned. I keep busy all day long with housework and crafts. Everything is done from a sitting positin. I have just finished shampooing my dinning room and hall way the last 2 days. Now on to the living room. When I do the crafts I use them for gifts and store all the extras then when I have a lot of inventory I go to a craft fair and sell what I can then spend the money for more supplies. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and keeps me in supplies for the next wave of whatever I am interested in doing. Just went to the Autumn Arts and Grain Festival to sell my wares . I get my grandchildren to help me load and unload and set up. If you don't have family help most of the people in charge will help you in any way they can if you just inform them that you are disabled in a wheelchair or whatever. They have been very helpful whereever I have gone. Most of the time I have more help then I need. Crocheting and quilting takes up most of my time in the winter because it gets pretty nippy in the winter in my garage, even though I live in sunny Ca. Where we don't have to fight the snow. I use to do woodwork in the winter until last winter I stood up off my stool and broke my ankle and 2 bones in my foot so I do the sawing in the spring and summer then paint and put together in the winter all inside. Even got my 88 year old mother-in-law into painting. If you don't know how buy a book or ask at your local community college they are ready and willing to help everyone some will even come to you if you can't come to them just explain your surcome stances .
