Hi gang: just thought I'd share my experience.....

Well, I believe that there are after-effects, as least for me.

I had mine on Oct. 18 and it wasn't until about Dec. 9th that my

legs/hips felt like their 'normal' selves. I walked quite a distance

with no problem to get to the test, walked away feeling ok, but the

following day and 3 weeks afterward I didn't want to go or walk

anywhere, didn't sleep well because of burning/aching, couldn't get

on and off my stationery bike as easily, didn't want to drive because

of leg fatigue. 3 weeks of this is not normal for me, even if I

happen to overdo things. So I'm sure my nerves had to recover from

the 'shocks'.

I am much so much better now, thank goodness.

I know that after my EMG I had a similar finding. My nerves burned

and I felt EXTREMELY weak and shakey the entire next day. The doc's

nurse said, mmmm, that's not normal, have you been checked for blood

sugar problems? AAAAAGGGHHHH They just really don't understand what

it does to someone with a nerve disorder, and frankly, I don't think

some of them really care.
