Why this club? Part One .......

was diagnosed with HCV (hepatitis C virus) in

mid June of this year. I was feeling a bit punk and

went in for a " look see " physical. I'm over 40 now and

thought it time to talk to a doctor about what that

meant, if anything. I was also falling asleep at work

and needing far more sleep then I'd ever needed

before. I was used to 4 - 6 hours a night and now it

seemed that 8 - 10 wasn't nearly enough.<br><br>I saw an

Internist and gave a thourough medical background.

Apparently the most significant occurance was that I had

contracted Hepatitis B while using heroin in the mid 70's. I

was an IV drug user at the time. A series blood and

urine tests were ordered. Two days later I recieved a

call at work from my doctor who informed me that I had

chronic liver disease and that I was being scheduled to

see a specialist the next day. I had HCV.<br><br>HCV

....... what the hell was that!? <br><br>That night I got

on the net and scared myself and my family with all

the information I found. I decided that I wasn't

going to do that agin and was eager to talk to a doctor

.... this specialist I was to see the next

day.<br><br>OK enough for now, I'm gonna rest and come back

later ..... sorry but it may go like this for a while,
