Hi Gretchen & Everyone,

First, Gretchen, I'm still writing my response to your last question,

but my finger got tired. :)

As for Pain Management Clinic, I go. In fact I've been going 1-3 times

per month for the past 4 years. I practically consider my Dr., Doc Bob,

my primary care doctor! Doc Bob, sorry or Dr. Cluff is a

neurologist, pharmacologist, specializing in pain syndromes - I have 3

different one's, pain syndromes that is. At Pain Management there are a

whole plethora of different treatments, from pychological counseling,

nerve blocks, medication management, etc. It saved my life, in a sense.

Controlling my pain has enabled me to keep working and functioning.

However, you MUST find the RIGHT CLINIC and DOCTOR, they ALL have

different philosophies. However, I have been to four different one's in

my life and they all do have pychological counselling to help with the

depression that chronic pain can cause, some stay away from opiate

therapy completely, and all usually start with the same regiment of

antidepresants (amiltyptaline (sp?) - Elavil, Neurontin, anti-seizure

meds, etc. If you can find the RIGHT one, as I have, you will get great

relief, but it takes some searching, just like with any doctor.

I hope this helps.

Peace & Love
