Guest guest
How do you define sick? Everyone with HCV is sick in one form or another. I am assuming you have had a liver biopsy. If you have no liver damage whatsoever, how did they let you into a study in the first place?

You don't have to be " sick " to have symptoms either. Most people with HCV do not have symptoms. Just remember what the all symptoms are. You could actually have some of them but not be aware of it or are attributing it to something else.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling so good. That is terrific. Be thankful. Be grateful. But be watchful as well. Keep getting your liver enzymes checked. Get a biopsy every 2 - 3 yrs as recommended by the CDC.

Keep in mind that the viral load is not an indicator of liver damage. It is just a number that will fluctuate every time you have the test done.

HCV does not cause problems for everyone who has it. It could be that you have a very strong immune system and it is fighting the disease for you.

Good luck to you!

LeighAnn
http://www.geocities.com/1Leighann

Guest guest
According to (my Hep C bible) " Living with HEPATITIS C A Survivior's Guide " . it states, " Hepatitis C is called the silent epidemic becausse you can have the virus and not know it. It's inusual tp jave sever symptoms until the end-stage of liver disease-a process that,if it ocurrs, may take decades. So it's hard for people to beleive they're infected.Hepatitis C progresses slowly with peaks and valleys of activity.A time bomb, the virus can lurk in the body for decades, silently injuring your liver and setting the stage for complacations from liver disease. "
Many of us have no symptoms or have symptoms that have been blamed on other things. That is one reason that it is so hard for a person with hep c and the people around them to beleive that they really have such a deadly virus. Please take Leighann's advice and keep intouch with your doctor and keep getting tested. If you want to talk to someone who has hep c and is feeling fantastic email e and I will be very happy to chat with you. trishdish13@... that is also my instant messanger screen name:
I am also here for anyone else who would like to chat & gt; rather you have hep c or are just a concerned party:
GOD BLESS.....ticia
