Guest guest Posted June 28, 2001 Report Share Posted June 28, 2001 Dear Fellow Heppers and Friends,

Two fellow heppers have lost their battle with Hepatitis C. A longtime advocate for HCV awareness, Lang was involved with the Hepatitis Education Project in Seattle,Washington. http://www.scn.org/health/hepatitis/
On a personal level, if it wasn't for Uncle Dave, I would never had the opportunity to connect with Joan King and our fellow Canadian heppers back in 1997. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Sincerely, Sandi, webmaster of Sandi's Crusade Against Hepatitis C
http://members.home.net/smking/index.htm

The following message is posted with permission from Ane Palmo, Frontline Hepatitis-Founder~Executive Director.
==================

Ane wrote: & lt;

Many of you may know this already. Lang has passed away. His passing was announced by Sara Amber and I am passing it along to you all. I feel great loss at his passing and will miss my dear friend who went with me to visit end stage patients in the Seattle area.
We also were on the HEP education committee for a while until he took his leave of absence and I formed Frontline. He was a very devoted educator in the HCV world.

Many of you may remember Dianna who lived in Boston. She also passed the same day and almost the very minute as Dave here in Seattle. Dianna was the mother of a 14 year old son and had trouble getting her transplant. Following the transplant she never accepted the liver due to most likely a bone marrow transplant in the past.

Thanks for hanging with us here at Frontline. Take good care of yourselves and be happy. I spent Sunday with to say goodbye and he and I laughed so hard he coughed but he was in good spirits then, even though he was near end stages. What a trooper and a good friend.

His memorial is Saturday, July 7, from 2-6 pm in south Seattle at the Tukwila Community Center, located at 12424 - 42nd Ave. S, phone 206-768-2822. It is a potluck. If you are
anywhere near here, please come to pay final tribute to one of our rock solid advocates for
patient care and support.

Ane Palmo
Frontline Hepatitis-Founder~Executive Director <a href=http://frontline-Hepatitis C.com/ target=new>http://frontline-Hepatitis C.com/
NHCAC Member
Business phone: 206-328-5381
Moderator http://clubs./clubs/frontlinehepatitis2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
