Guest guest
, you bet this is the name of the game. Fatigue and managing it. At 16 it was very difficult for me to keep up with my peers, but I did; I would also leave school at 3, and go right home to sleep. I hadn't learned to pace my activities and back then (1960's) also hadn't tried things like 1/2 days of school, or home school, plus there were no IEPs then so I did not have special lockers or a place to rest if I needed. Perhaps inviting your parents and school personnel together for a meeting regarding an IEP that would help you might be a place to start. Get info. from your Dr., maybe also have your school counselors there too. (I am assuming you are in the US - if not forget this, since I don't know about other countries). Perhaps taking less classes, then going home at noon and going to summer school around the year would be an option? With CMT our muscles have to work TWICE as hard to do HALF the work - that it how it was explained to me when I was 16. Prescription potassium DID help me with fatigue at 16,, as well as Ritalin (off label at the time). Now people tell me Neurontin helps fatigue too. ~ Gretchen shannon marzinski wrote: > I'm just exhausted physically...
