LOL Marilyn, I have acid to spew....all I can get down is gatorade.......

I sweat buckets and drink a gallon and a half on a rough day!

Can't do lemonade.....any fruit juices right now.

Think it must be working in this heat.

We bought a bunch of fish the other day... St. Louis has a fish market that has

all types of fresh fish, a bit expensive, but they have some awesome trout.

Re: Drinking ??!!??

It's the animal fat that the liver has a hard time processing.

I was told and have read that broiled fish is the closest to meat we should

go.

any animal product can contain pathogins that could be fatal to us with

compensated livers.

Bpu - I have the same craving for acid - but I'm not sure why. I

just squeeze a couple of lemons into a glass of water - no sugar!!!

I haven't done any research into this craving. Does anyone have an

explanation?

> I think you may have misunderstood, I was talking about one

*occasional* drink, i.e., a toast at New Year's for instance. It's

funny, though. The only thing I ever drank was a good glass of wine

with a good dinner. When I got my first diagnosis, I didn't do that

anymore. The only thing I'm " hooked " on now besides steam-distilled

water is Minute Maid Lemonade - must just be the acid that I crave!

before, and she's more famous now... drinking is out of the question

no matter what some quack says. When liver damage has occurred, the

liver can no longer process the alcohol and intoxication levels occur

quickly, as well. I cannot believe some of things you people are

being told...

Maybe it depends on the person or how bad your liver is. I know that

before I found out I had hepC I would get violently ill on the

weekends, my abdominal cramps were so bad It felt like labor pains,

and all i could do was cry. I thought I had food poisining, I

cleaned out the fridge and got rid of all the dairy and stuff and the

same thing kept happening, turns out it was the pizza or steak we had

on friday nights that was making me sick. Since I stopped eating all

that I have not had as many serious stomach problem.

How do you get rid of the abdominal and leg swelling? I swear

sometimes my stomach gets huge and I can't get into my cloths. And

then a few days later it is gone.

Bonnie

> So did I... we bought the leanest ground sirloin possible... but,

my abdominal area swelled within 30 minutes, and my liver was

stressing... so, that went on my list of things to avoid...

Most welcome, dear... :) headaches, oh yes indeed ! :) I call them

lightning bolt headaches, which are actually a milder form of migraines so the

doctor tells me. When I cut my Paxil dosage and Interferon dosage back, the

headaches lightened up a bit... but, at the same time, you have drink till you

basically think you are living on the potty, you pee so much... :)
