I really liked the Be In Charge program they helped me a lot. I'm

sure you will find some different opinions, but in my book they were

wonderful, they called me once a month, and were able to give me

answers to even the most stupid questions.

Dave sign into the group and go to messages , then do a search for Be-

in-Charge. We went thru this about 4 months ago so there are lots

for and against the program. I for one just got thru my 48 weeks of

combo in Dec, and was on the program for the full time , got a call

every few months and they were no real help to me.the one thing that

gets me is they will never leave a message , even to your wife when

they call, because they say it might embarass you. What is more

embarassing then having a gal call you at home and not leave a name

or reasion for the call? They don't want anyone to know your on the

program but will send you a water jug and towel with the logo on them.

As far as I see it, it is just a way to keep the goverment off their

backs for the unreal price they but on the TX. Combo at 1600+ per

month was bad but Peg at 2900+ is off the wall. And now they have

their waiting list just another way to jack the price up.

others have had better results with them but not me.

I have had a great experience with them. my nurce has been attentive

and helpful. Especially with making sure my Pharmacy has all the info

needed to get my meds to me on time.

She has been good at listening to me and giving me advice too.

Good Luck

Rich, I did a search like you said but I only came up with two older

posts with " Be-in-Charge " in them. Maybe some posts were deleted?

That's funny what you said about the people who call to check up on

you. Are they careful not to say who they are because you might be

trying to keep your treatment a secret? Seems like that would be very

hard to do. Can Schering afford to be giving away these free water

jugs and towels? Isn't their peg-combo the must expensive outpatient

medication ever made? It has to be more than HIV meds isn't it?

I'm just waiting for that phone call saying that I've kicked

off my HMO plan because I cost them too much money!
