Hey Guy,
I asked the Be In Charge nurse about

the possibility that there were different dosages or

mis-mixes in the batches. She reminded me of the fact that

your frame of mind, hormonal sifts, chemical shifts &

stress can play a big part on the sides & reactions to

them. I know if I have a presentation or an important

meeting I'm in hell til it's over. Just the shear

worrying over the meeting makes the drugs work overtime.

Good luck.
Reg

REG & lt; I am not going to denie that the " BE IN

CHARGE " program is a good concept, but you must admit

that there are a lot of factors that take into play

when people are dealing with people. So it is not all

that hard to comprehend how some people can have a

good experience and others not have such a great

one.
I am really worried about you though, you seem to

think that the nurses at this place are some kind of

gods or something (after all they do represent the

drug company). They can't give all the answers as each

case has its own factors.I hate to tell you this but

drug companies are not fool proof. Their quality

control is not 100% so it is percievable that one box

could be stronger than another. Just read the paper and

you will see that.Yes ones attitude does take a major

roll in how one does in anything but I sure don't know

how you can explain how one box can cause a big red

spot at each shot site and then another box cause

nothing at all at the shot site. Can you explain how

attitude can effect this?? It seems to me that many people

have not had as good of experience with this program

as you..that doesn't mean that they are depressed or

that they have an imbalance.
I know that you have

been very lucky by having your side effects become so

slight that you call your treatment nothing more than a

nuisance. Some people aren't that lucky.... so it is ok to

encurage but don't tell them that it will be nothing as

you don't know what they will have to endure.
I

know one factor that makes it so much easier for you

to handle your sides and to be so positive is

because your viral count is undetectable and that is

fantastic......but not everyone is so lucky so try not to make light

of what others may be feeling............I speak for

experience..I have been where you are 3 times..thank you ..and

continued good luck...tricia

I'm sorry for your negativity. You seem to be a

troubled person. I can respect that under the

circumstances. Maybe if you could turn your bitterness into

positive thinking your experiences wouldn't turn out so

bad all the time. This is exactly what I've posted

before. Your frame of mind IS an important issue. You

don't make it easy for those going into this with a

hopeful attitude. This is what held me back for 2 years

before starting the therapy. Yes I am lucky, but for

reasons that I won't go in to I feel equally lucky for

the disease. It's help ground me to my own mortality

& to respect others more around me. As for be in

charge? You're right! Not every Co. can cater to

everyone's needs. I'm sure there's a lot more of us than

there are nurses at the Co. to go around. How many

other drug Co.'s do you know that have a support group

at all? I've had MORE then my share of negligent

Dr.s & nurses to deal with. Yes I DO think there are

those in the medical field who still view us as lepers.

As for the caffine issue? You said it. It's

different for every one & different dr.s & nurses will tell

you different. I was simply told if I drink caffine

to drink that much more water as caffine dehydrates

you more. My side effects haven't been ALL

slight.
I've just learned to control my attitude to WORK with

the bad days & take advantage of the good. SURE there

will be those days when the drug takes total control &

you just don't want to get out of bed. I just remind

myself of friends that have gone through this tenfold

with cancer & chemo. That makes my fight seem a little

more trivial.
Good luck trish.
Reg

Reg, go back and read what I posted about caffine

again!!! the be in charge book says avoid caffine !!!and

every nutritioist and doctor will tell you that caffine

is not good for a healthy body let alone one that

has liver problems.Water helps but why make your

liver work any harder than it needs to by putting

things that aren't good for you into you body in the

first place??????

you whether your liver is healthy or not--no where

Yes and it says to aviod ALCOHOL at the same

time.
With this line of thinking haveing a glass of water

with a beer is ok it will be flushed out. Yea right

thru the liver that is.
And why is it that everyone

that has a differt point of view with you is in

depression or negative? We all don't check out with a Zero

count as I said mine was 500000 at 6 months and still

went thru the full 12 months one to go.And it does

effect us all differently.
rich
