Guest guest
Okay... Now I'll really try to stay on the topic of what I wanted to ask.

LeighAnn... Since I do consider you to be very knowledgeable on all of this kind of stuff, I thought I'd ask your opinion, if that's OK??

My brother has a friend who was just recently diagnosed with (oh man, I hope I'm getting the exact diagnosis right) " non-alcohol-related cirrosis of the Liver " . The young woman in question DOES NOT drink at all; so I'm assuming THAT's how it's " non-alcohol-related " . What my question to you is, is... is that diagnosis (non-alcohol-related cirrosis) possibly ALSO indicative of ANY types of Hepatitis?? For some reason, the first thing I thought when I heard her diagnosis was " Well, I sure hope the doctor also looks/tests for Hepatitis... because (maybe I'm just being paranoid, but) I'd hate to think that it'd be possible that they might treat the cirrosis and somehow overlook and/or mis-diagnose any Hepatitis (if it's present).

Any thoughts?? Is it possible for her to have that non-alcohol-related cirrosis and NO Hepatitis... or does one usually cause/indicate the presence of the other, or what?? Obviously, any insights you'd be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated...

:-)

-Seb.

Guest guest
FANTASTIC NEWS!! My prayers are with her, and with the donor family. It takes alot for a family to offer up an organ when a loved one passes away, and just as much for someone to decide to BE an organ donor. That person will live on in your friend.

I LOVE good news in the middle of the night! It's 2:30 am here in Calif. and I couldn't sleep.

LeighAnn
