My Introduction

Hi,I'm a 37 year old female with CMT. I found out a little over a year ago that

i have CMT it started with my sister needing to find out what was wrong with her

jaw sevear pain and then in the process of that my mother and sister were

diagnosed and then me we started to compare notes about the way we felt and the

differences and likes of our health then we all had the blood test and sure

enough we have CMT and trigeminl nerualgia or hemifacial spasums we are the

first known family with both the genes in the same family and dr james lewis in

franklin has presented it as a new find and named it nantahala neuropathy.i am

in the last stages of CMT according to doctors,and my other family is not as

sevear but my sister has the feet hammer toes and i have very flat feet and i

have two brothers they are in denile altogether and won't be tested i have had a

hard time copeing with it mentallty i am saved and attend church i am married

and have one son 17 the doctors don't think he has CMT thank GOD.he's not had

blood test however but he does not show symptoms according to doctors.thanks for
