Guest guest
Hiya Gang! I have just returned from my fall trip to the island of Sint Maarten in the Caribbean (we go again in March). The island was almost deserted of tourists because of the airline/ 9/11 things, but had a great time anyway. I'm posting only to say that yes, I do have CMT and there is no question that it is progressing, thankfully at a slow pace, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let it get in the way of my vacations! Walking on sand is a huge challenge, and getting out of the water is even more so!!!! But I'm only 52, and am blessed with a wife who is kind enough to know where to be so that I have some " thing/one " to hold onto to make my way easier. The only point of my post is to say...don't let this CMT thing possess you. Do what you want, albeit at your own pace, and enjoy every moment. I certainly do and expect to for another 50 years!!! (yeh, right!) Screwed up hands, poor balance, no feeling in feet?.......YEP! But don't get in my way on the beach! With all respects, BobD
Guest guest
Bob I'm so glad you had a wonderful holiday (I'm British) and I know how much of a pain walking on sand is. I also know that it's important not to let CMT get you down and you've proved that in this posting. You continue to go out and enjoy life, something that we all must do whether enjoying our life is to holiday or stay at home. Are you going to post some of your holiday snaps online so we can all get a glimpse of your adventure? Love Sue The important thing is never to stop questioning.
