Guest guest
Hello everyone, I just thought I would share with others what a wonderful opportunity I had. I gave blood to The American Red Cross, it was of course especially important for the victims of the NY tragedy. I am truly blessed to have given blood. Giving to others is a very important thing in my life as I appreciate the gift of giving. Just because one has a physical challenge does not limit them to voluntering their time to organizations of their choosing. It makes me feel very good knowing that I could save a life. Funny (better word maybe strange) on this particular day as I was giving blood my brother who lives in NY fell 30 feet out of a building as he is an iron worker. Luckily for him he survived with a broken neck and broken heels. One never knows when they give something to others if it will benefit their own family. Just a thought to think about. I am doing pretty well, been a bit shaky last few days and required lots of rest, but this is the day in the life of CMT and one must strive to go on and not give up. As I know I am here for a reason and learn so many things every day. One is who I am is not by the things I own but how I give from my heart to others. Thanks, Heidi
