How true if we look back the year before...it definitely puts things in perspective! Thanks for sharing! Also to Jerry...thanks for sharing your potty-training tips. :-) *** *** * * * * * * :-) * * * * * *

Guest guest
Hi yes..some doctor metioned that to me and also something about the median nerve. It's 3 days post op now and while I can use my hand now there is still a very slight tingling sensation but now i've noticed an ache/sore upper arm probably where the cuff of the BP monitor was so may have bruising there. I am beginnig to think it was that and the way my arm was during the op...it was nasty though, but did take my mind off my ear!!!!! Anyway it has eased considerably but now i'm just at home feeling sorry for myself at the moment!!! But after each little nap I have I do feel a little better! thanks for the reply rlockw1092@... wrote: In a message dated 10/9/2003 3:59:45 AM Eastern Standard Time, cholesteatoma writes: when I came around my left hand was very numb and tingled..Hi . Guest guest
Hello and , I also had problems with my right arm after my first surgery. It would not extend for about 2-3 weeks after a 9 hour surgery. A heating pad and stretching exercises helped alot. I was told it was due to improperly placed padding during the surgery. The good news is it was and still is completely normal after the 2-3 weeks. Hope your arm feels better. Guest guest
Hi Carnetha (an all) Wow 9 hours surgery..i though my 4.5 was enough!! Just to let you know that my hand and arm is now almost back to normal after nearly a week!! The only trouble I have at the moment is getting some proper sleep. Only seem to manage a couple of hours at a time and having to lie on my right side all the time I start to get cramp and feel uncomfortable!! Also I did a bit of cleaning and cooking yesterday, felt fine then later in the evening came over all shaky, chills and very tired. My head throbbed also so I need to watch it and not do too much. I don't know how people manage to bounce back after afew days..gosh I still feel wobbly and rough. Anyway, once again, glad its over with and came around sooner due to cancellation!! Guest guest
Janette, I dont know if you ever hear of Dr. . He has a philosophy out called the MILLER METHOD. he and his wife work with children in autism I believe in Boston, MA. I attended a three day workshop many years ago to learn his method and he began each day with the children doing a pig pile. This was a social and proprioceptive activity that he felt helped to organize them for the day. They would all just playfully lay and crash into each other on a mat and laugh--this was supervised or course but was the highlight of the day. It helped with sensory defensiveness, social isolation, and motor skills! Also, tug of war is a very good activity to use also. And, just thought of another one, the hot dog roll. Rolling your child up in a blanket, like a hot dog or using a soft mat to roll him up. Great SI ctivity. maria
Guest guest
> I've done a lot of reading lately, and some confusions have cropped up. > Is artemisia the same as davana? Or wormwood? Hi Kathleen, Artemesia is a genus name. There are a great many species within the genus. To judge by davana, wormwood and the common garden Artemesias, most seem to have some kind of resinous fragrance, similar in this respect to the sages for example.
