Guest guest
Hi , great to hear from you again. SSDIs rules have changed. They determine IF you CAN or CANNOT work, not necessarily if you are DISABLED, by the standards we know. There are tons of links under our bookmarks sites and I have more I just haven't put there. For SSDI you need to have ALL your medical tests, doctors and diagnosis, since you have been working, SSDI is going to wonder why you can't now. Make a list of everything you cannot do any longer. Make SURE your doctors know you have applied and also do you have it written in your file that you are medically advised against employemnt due to CMT, etc? This is important. Have you been for a SSDI medical review yet? (THEIR Drs?) Have you submitted the pain questionnaire and all copies of prescriptions? Are you working with an attorney? Following a phone interview, the decision is 3-5 months, generally. If you want other links and help, let me know, first go through what's in our Bookmarks (I think the links are under the D's or the S's) SSDI just might re-train you through Voc Rehab. for a new career, depending on your age and skills you have already. Have you given any thought for retraining and what you CAN DO? They will most likely ask this at some point. ~ Gretchenn
