Suzi,

I walked in Liver Walk the Greater LA Chapeter of the ALF hosted on

June 5th in Griffith Park. I collected $300.00 for the cause. The

Walk netted over $72,000.

That's great, hdhepper! You told me you were going, and I was

waiting for your update. $300 is great; I am wondering, in these

dire economic times, which one of my friend/family actually has

something left over to pledge...and I can't think of one! These

price hikes have to go.

How long or how far does the walk usually go? I'm still not quite

back to 'normal' yet, tehe.

Suzy,

The LA walk/run was 5k or 3.1 miles. They also had a 'Turtle Walk'

for little kids that was 1.5k. I've been hiking and walking since

the summer of '02 so I was OK for the walk. I used to run 3 to 5

miles, 4 times a week before treatment but I've been

enjoying 'Comfort Foods' since I completed treatment in Jan. '02 so

there are a few extra pounds onboard these days. There should be

more information on the Sacramento chapter's website.
