Guest guest Posted December 15, 2003 Report Share Posted December 15, 2003 Hi, Just wondering if my s/e are common??? I am on treatment Interferon/Ribavirin now approaching week 12. Initially, my hgb dropped which required treatment with Procrit, then my WBC/ANC fell drastically, which required Neupogen. My ANC was hoovering around 600, so I was off treatment for 1 week until my neupogen arrived...I developed a rash,which has progressively worsened, on my chest, abdomen, back, arms and legs....along with ulcers in my mouth as well. Seems to be related to Ribavarin, my GI has decreased my dose to 800mg per day. I have seen a dermatologist, who has perscribed a topical steroid creme and an antihistimine. I will have labs drawn this week to see if my viral load has diminished. But this rash is a very big PAIN!!! My GI is concerned,as I am very sensitive to the medication.
