Hi Leighann,

I'm trying to get an AKC Companion Dog title on my dog, and we got our first

points a few weeks ago, that's what made me curious about doing a Google search,

to see if it got posted anywhere. My e-mail address is also my name, so when I

typed my name in, I didn't leave a space between my first and last name because

I'm so used to typing my e-mail address. Four things popped up with my e-mail

address, and two of them were from this list (posts 3529 and 3699 from last

year).

After reading your post, I called a friend who is on another group. I

gave her the website address and asked her to click on the " Members " section,

enter her ID and see if she had access to it - she did. Not only that, but

mine is the only e-mail address that is posted in its entirety! I'm on a

scrapbooking list and a dog list on , that are members only, and none of

those posts showed up on Google. I guess I feel a little uneasy that this is

the most personal list I am on, and yet it's the easiest for anyone to access.

IMHO, I would like to see the list go " Members Only " , I'd like to hear what

other people think.

Marilyn,

This is supposed to be a private chat, but then owns it so I'm

not so sure. I think we should just send some questions! Google

is amazing. I can't believe what Pam just posted about the FBI or FDI

or whoever it is that shut down her chat. That's a little bit like

censorship isn't it? And is that legal for these people, whoever they

may be, to do this?? That's kinda scary actually.

Anyways, actually, after checking this, it's set that anyone can post

here so it's not locked into the Members Only group. Do you think I

should change the preferences of the group and make it Members Only

can post? I can do that real easy, then people have to request to

join or be invited. That may keep the posts from popping up at

google.

Now you have me curious and I'm off to hunt myself down on Google

too! Let me know what you think ok?

It does say archives are for members only on the home page.........

hmmmmmmmm........ have no idea how that happened for you Marilyn. I tried

again with my name and no posts came up from any of the 71 groups I belong

to. I did try it with your name again and this time I got

and when you click on the link it takes you right to the email. That is

really weird. Obviously there is a glitch somewhere. Since I am still

freaking about the FBI writing a letter to my brother and closing down that

chat room I am looking into everything that I can about *big brother* I

did put in PeachStatePam for the first time and got four hits but only one

hit but it was a message from inside a Managers group. It must have

something to do with the settings somewhere but I would be at a loss to know

where. I moderate or own five groups myself but don't see many differences

in the settings between this group and mine. Another hmmmmmmm that I am

going to have to research!

The only difference with this group is that ANYONE can post. Maybe that is
