Zip Ties instead of Rubber Bands

Hi All,

I have problems using rubber bands to hold the sponges on the end of my GodRods.

The bands don't last long then they break and the sponges fall off. I have

replaced the bands 3 times so far.

A friend had the bright idea of using the nylon zip ties (cable ties) and these

do work very well to hold the sponges on. However, I just want to double check

that the material the cable ties are made of won't affect the workings of the

GodRods. Will the electricity still conduct OK..?
