Adherence to medication

While experimenting with this or anything else, the question comes up what about

the meds? For example, someone on HIV meds might wonder if they should stop

taking anti-retrovirals. Beck advised stopping all meds on his protocol.

Others may say that their remedies are so certain that one could safely stop the

meds and just use their solution. This kind of thinking can be absolutely

disastrous! If your case does not respond and give you the looked-for

remission, then what? Sometimes you cannot just go back to the meds. Here's

why that may no longer work for you...

Cessation or letting up on anti-biotic or anti-viral meds can allow germs to

multiply faster and in larger numbers. Each time a germ multiplies it makes

copies of itself. But these are not perfect copies. Each is a little

different, with different abilities. Some copies could be drug-resistant. Drug

resistance means the microbe can overcome the meds. At that point these

multiply without restraint, replacing weaker ones that were affected by the

meds. When drug resistance develops the med no longer works, and you need a new

one--if it exists, and it may not. At that point you could become very ill, die

or both.

Do not burn your bridges, in other words. If you are on meds by all means talk

to your doctor before you consider changing anything even the slightest detail

of your program. Don't take chances where your meds are concerned. If a

treatment can't be combined with your meds then consider not using it. Most

can, and I certainly don't agree with Beck one should stop all meds. You should

be able to combine what we do and what he did with meds if you proceed

intelligently and cautiously. But talk with your medical professional, and get

tested more frequently if possible during your experiment. If combined, the

results may be even better than with either alone. Do NOT be a hero, especially

a dead one. Thanks, folks.
