How are you using the Oregano Oil?In my books on essential oils, the cautions that are noted is that thisessential oil is highly toxic with continued use, and should not be used onthe skin directly. It is noted that is has anti-bacterial properties, though.Essential oils, as a rule, must be diluted with a carrier oil beforeapplying to the skin. They are effective, because they are absorbed into theskin and get into the bloodstream. Only small amounts are required, such asa few drops in the carrier oil.I personally use essential oils on my hair, several times a week. Withabout one ounce of carrier oil, (usually grapeseed oil, or jojoba oil) I add6 drops each of rosemary, ylang ylang, lavender, cedarwood, and bay. I havenoticed an improvement in my hair texture and growth, finally, afterbattling with rotten looking hair for the last few years.I also use essential oils on my skin to moisturize it, mixing whatever I'vechosen in some carrier oil, and massaging it into my body, with the help ofmy hubby, sometimes. : )Patty----- Original Message -----From: <carrie_martinez64@...>< >Sent: Saturday, June 23, 2001 12:20 PMSubject: Oregano Oil> Has anyone here heard anything about the essential oil of oregano?
