I'm not sure if there's a link to the Oregon Orthotic System which is

dispensed thru Hangar Orthotics/Prosthetics (a national company), but

you should check this out also. Glad you spoke up. Same thing

happened to me. An orthopedist prescribed a metal over-the-knee

brace that was horrible. I think the OOS is more rigid than the

lighter-weight styles, but ankle flexion can be adjusted. They

definitely made me feel less disabled and more able. I'll try to

find where you can read about it and post it.

I, like you, have more discomfort with my AFO's than relief.

Mine keeps my ankles from collapsing but still gee o gee

the way it rubs up on me.

They're so uncomfortable. I am not sure what kind of braces you

can use but I just wanted to let you know I have the same problem

with AFO's.
