Guest guest
Thanks for the chuckle bG. That may be funny mostly because it's insightful - maybe as in, while we think we've moved out of the box, at the same time we're building a new one around ourselves. I've been snooping here for a few months without posting, while gaining some understanding and developing a game plan. Now I'm ready to begin, and I believe chronic sinus infection to be the source of most of my problems, so I'm starting there. Materials for the " Fork Paddle - historical " build are in hand, and the plan is to apply them for 15 minutes both AM and PM, placement will approximate what is pictured in the file (That you?). Please advise me of any needed additions or corrections, and I will update as appropriate. Lastly, I'd like to comment on the refreshing tone of this group. Seems like a nice bunch, like I'm actually among adults, but the moderator deserves special recognition for setting the tone and for the good job being done. Thanks again. -Bob > > The godzilla device has gained some acceptance. However, it lacks most things people normally associate with alternatives. Guest guest
I use the forks style electrodes myself. They have held up well, are easy to use, give you a bit of a handle to hold. You could also improvise an elastic strap to hold sponges in place for sinus usage. I really need some time/energy to put together a complete update showing practical ways to do this more easily. If you know your sinuses are infected, this should help. If only think so, then it might not. I've seen it clear out really bad sinus infection on a medical person who's every treatment had faile them, and in my own case, I just don't get sinus pain anymore since using these gadgets. One thing I would add would be a cheap multimeter...now don't panic. It is very simple to do. Build your forks type godzilla, cut one wire close to the 6 volt battery, and strip the ends. Wrap the stripped ends around the probes of the meter (does not matter which goes where). Apply rubber bands over the wire joints to put pressure to keep good contact between the wires and the probes. Tape over the rubber bands to hold it all together and insulate it. When not in use leave the meter " off " . In use, turn to the lowest setting around 2mA or so. As you apply the godzilla, the meter should respond with a readout of the current you are using! Nice? At this point you can experiment with the current level or " power " used. These factors control it: 1. the exposed area of the fork or wire inside the sponges 2. the wetting solution. distilled water will give lowest power level, adding a pinch of baking soda to a cup or two of water and wetting with that, squeeze out the excess you want them wet but not soaking, when you squeeze, nothing should drip in other words. Adjust the baking soda to get different power levels. a very tiny pinch will give a lot more power, but only a meter will really tell you how much. 3. the metal used in the fork. I have seen some of the highly finished stainless steel actually too hot to use at all no matter how small the exposed (not taped over) area of the fork used. Some stainless flatware is usable, but some of the brand new ones are too hot. So use an old one if you can, it will have an invisible film of oxides that slows the current I think.. You dose it about 20 minutes at from .3mA-.6mA, reversing positions of the sponges every 5 minutes. Repeating this twice a day, once in am once in pm, and take hot shower daily putting face into the stream to help flush the sinuses out. Let us know how this works for you and best of luck, bG > > > > The godzilla device has gained some acceptance. However, it lacks most things people normally associate with alternatives. Guest guest
oh yeah, thanks for the compliments, this is a super group that is onto something new and extremely helpful. btw, the meter serves as a protective " on/off " switch so that if you store the device, the touching of the sponges won't matter. really cool. bG > > > > > > The godzilla device has gained some acceptance. Guest guest
For really inexpensive digital multi meters check out these or others on Ebay. The are delivered to your door for under $3.25 There are many like this on ebay. I am not recommending this specific seller but they maker of this makes good meter. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-LCD-Digital-Voltmeter-Ammeter-Ohm-Multimeter-DT830B-/330\ 460212019?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item4cf0f6ab33#ht_3067wt_736 This should help everyone with getting meters at very reasonable prices no matter where you live.
