Guest guest
The " right " range on a meter is about .3mA-.9mA, with the middle being preferred. .4mA-.7mA is perfect for the usual 20 minute sessions. Without a meter, you can go by feel. It should not be irritating, but just barely felt after a minute or two. A strong metallic taste in the mouth could mean it's running a bit too strong. No metallic taste at all usually means not wuite enough power. metallic taste does not come from fillings, people with NO fillings still taste that. Steps to adjust power: ======= When using a metered godzilla or any other one for that matter, it can occur that too much power or too little is being delivered. On a metered unit, the meter will jump up and go blank, exceeding the maximum range. If you set the meter to a higher maximum range you will see the numbers again but they will be high. On a non-metered unit, you get a tingle then a harshness on the skin. There are several simple ways to fix over-powered condition: 1. if sponge is new, rinse out a few times in warm water, squeezing out all the water before proceeding. 2. If that does not help, try cutting the bare wire shorter inside the sponge so less of it makes contact with the insides of the sponge. 3. If still too hot, try making the slit in the sponge closer to the handle, and farther from the skin.. More sponge between the wire and the skin reduces the power level. If too weak (this is unlikely but it can happen) try adding a pinch of baking soda to the final rinse water (a pinch to a cup of water is more than enough). This will jump the power about 4 times more, so be sparing. If too hot now, simply rinse till it reaches an agreeable level.
