In plumbing, you have the concept that " stuff " goes downhill so just make the " in " higher than the " out " . In dentisry, you have one bacterium that loves to turn sugar into acid. The acid removes the protective enamel of the teeth exposing them to damage. The mouth is a garbage trap that is impossible to clean completely. You have millions of tiny crevices, ideally located for dream bacteria bungalows, complete with views of a river of food and saliva. To truly capture the most sugars this bacterium attaches directly to the teeth anywhere it can hold on. It protects itself by making a sticky substance called " plaque " . This serves to attach more " bacteria settlements " on the banks of the romantic mouth-river. The body does not like these plaque deposits and it daily provides dissolving fluids inside your saliva to root them out. Cleaning by brushing can aid this cleaning but sooner or later the plaque can regenerate faster than you and your toothbrush can remove it. So it deepens and hardens. Still, it can be dissolved, if only the bacteria would stop building new plaque settlements. Well what if the bacteria died? Could your body and your toothbrush alone prevail over this without the help of the grim scraper at the dental office? YOU BET IT CAN. We need more people using it to thicken the files on dental plaque. Also cavities. Look, my exwife had serious gum disease from this bacterium, many oral surgeries, great pain, huge expense and being never completely healthy. I was after her forever to try this thing, but it never occurred to either one of us that " colds " were nothing compared to her gum disease. I finally talked her into it for the gums, and within 3 weeks it was all gone. Full health restored. There's a certain rigor about a test on one's ex-wife. If it works, it is certainly not a placebo effect.
