Sophie,

Good explanation of placements I should follow. I am a bit confused by the tens

pads and your references to " settings " . Are you using a TENS machine or a

homemade Godzilla? I have a TENS machine and I've also constructed the Godzilla

with sponges. So, I could use either machine if they are doing the same thing...

BTW: After about a week of excruciating pain at the site of the ulcer, and also

along the top and side of my tongue. (Could hardly talk, eat, drink, sleep), the

pain intensified last Friday. On Saturday the sore vanished along with the pain

on the top and side. I had used Godzilla about three times. It was a strange

resolution to the cold sore as I have never had one suddenly vanish without a

trace. I did have a high fever so I don't know if that also may have caused it

to resolve.

(always at the beginning of the school year just in time for school pictures!) I

tried many things, and nothing worked for us. When the sore came, it was ugly

and would last for quite a while.

TENS devices do not output the right type of electricity and will either do

nothing or be poor performers. Use the 6 volt battery and whatever electrodes

will fit the sore area well. The simple wire with cloth ends should be good,

and is easy to do, but you can be flexible.
