Guest guest
another idea would be to put a large metal plate with damp towel on it underneath the dish. the cat stands on the plate to eat. a wire is attached to the plate and goes to one side of 6 volt battery. Another wire goes to the metal food dish which is placed on an insulating pad like plastic bag, etc so does not touch the towel and metal plate.. electricity goes through feet of cat through the metal plate and towel on the floor. Use wet catfood only, the other end of battery goes to wire to a damp sponge under the metal food dish. When the cat stands on the towel and touches the food with mouth, you get a completed circuit through the mouth, teeth, gums, etc. You would have the healthiest cat mouth in the world. Not bad idea for people, either..the electric fork! i think it will work better than all the other ideas. bG > > wrap cat, inclusive of all limbs, in a bath towel. > > > Re: Godzilla and heat and animals > > > >I was planning on making a wide rubber strip to attach to a collar, with a > >really wide bottom so it extends under chin and up over cheeks. I have no problems with handling the cat at all, it will be quite a breeze in fact. It's just how long to use the Godzilla for.
Guest guest
if you do try this, please let us know, I think i really came up with something great here, if it works. the voltage should be ok at 6 volts. the sponge under the metal dish sits atop plastic bag, which sits atop towel, which sits atop metal sheeting (can use alum foil doubled up for the metal sheet). attach one wire to foil, one wire to sponge under the metal dish. don't attach the wire to the dish directly or it could be too harsh, attach instead to a sponge under the dish. Feed the cat in installments so they get a dose every few hours rather than one bigger one. bG > > > > wrap cat, inclusive of all limbs, in a bath towel. > > > > > > Re: Godzilla and heat and animals > > > > > > >I was planning on making a wide rubber strip to attach to a collar, with a > > >really wide bottom so it extends under chin and up over cheeks. Guest guest
nobody knows that, you will have to find it out for the rest of us. there's no rule yet. besta luck! bG > > > RE:<another idea would be to put a large metal plate with damp towel on it underneath the dish. the cat stands on the plate to eat.>>>> > > Hee hee hee... getting more complicated with evey message - does everyone think all cats are monsters?, LOL. Guest guest
Hmmmm, might be good for others, but it wouldn't work here. I only feed raw meat pieces, and the cat would only be in contact with food on the plate for a couple of seconds before it is lifted off. Unless I put an electrode into the meat itself (attached to a long string to pull it out :-0 ) Still think the collar is the best idea. Can get sponges placed exactly where I want and it will be easy for both me and kitty. > if you do try this, please let us know, I think i really came up with something great here, if it works. the voltage should be ok at 6 volts. the sponge under the metal dish sits atop plastic bag, which sits atop towel, which sits atop metal sheeting (can use alum foil doubled up for the metal sheet). attach one wire to foil, one wire to sponge under the metal dish. don't attach the wire to the dish directly or it could be too harsh, attach instead to a sponge under the dish. > > Feed the cat in installments so they get a dose every few hours rather than one bigger one. > > bG
Guest guest
well of course put the meat chunks onto metal shishkabob rods attached to wires.. duh. otherwise.. you would have to experiment to get a setup that would ensure the current goes into the gums area (if the gingivitis does have a germ origin). not sure how you are going to get it through the fur which has a lot of air in it, and would insulate a lot. but sure you can figure it out. bG > > > Hmmmm, might be good for others, but it wouldn't work here. Guest guest
I got my cat when she was 8 and is now 15 this year. She had gingivitis with swollen gums and bad teeth. I use Ionic colloiodal silver (that I make for myself) for her water and and the problem is 95% plus fixed. On very rare ocations she has bad breath and the gums look fine. My experiment, as I do when trying new food, was to provide two water dishes. One with regular water and one with CS. She always goes to the CS water and after a few months the problems subsided and she is still on CS. Hope this helps
Guest guest
This is third story about cats being a " tab " smarter than humans. One cat would scratch to be let in whenever the bob beck blood electrifier was turned on. he would jump up and put his paws on the electrodes! the second was a cat who once tasting CS water only drank CS water. bG > > > I got my cat when she was 8 and is now 15 this year.
