In general you want to keep the area clean, and to do that with help

from the germkiller thing, use it like this:

apply to the area directly in short but regular times that interrupt

the replication times of germs. Usually an hour or two is about

right. Avoid overuse as it can chafe skin, making continuation

difficult and/or unwise.

do it for about 3-5 minutes

wait an hour or two

do it again for 3-5 minutes

repeat the above several times a day for a week

re-evaluate. let us know..
