Guest guest
Marta, This isn't a tummy tuck. It's just a removal of the overhang fat that is keeping the wound from healing. That's sort of the way Dr. K described it. I guess they are going to write it up in such a way that it says without the removal of this fat layer, I won't heal, and that will cause more problems. But, I'm excited and well, the lipo is just icing on the cake. Now, if I just look as good as a certain someone else! various Jim, you are so lucky! How are they going to pull that off? Two TT's, hmm? Your insurance will have a cow!
Guest guest
I found this site that ranks some of the COX inhibitors by degree of COX inhibition. It may be beneficial to some. COX inhibitors Its towards the bottom of the article. Marcus
Guest guest
To All I am not sure if this Zyflo petition has been mentioned before. I seem to remember several people in this group wanting Abbott Pharmaceuticals to resume production. If it is beneficial to some we should all take the time to sign it. Zyflo Petition Marcus In case link above did not work. Guest guest
Lori, I'm so done with this stupid doctor. She knows the treatments - she even works closely with Dr. Kennedy - she just isn't interested in helping. I'm trying the Singulair again (as well as inhaled steroids and all of that), even though it didn't work the first time. So, maybe some hope there. She wants me to have another appointment in 6 months. Six more months of steroids <groan>. See, I think prednisone is *wildly* effective. The only problem is that it's breaking down my body already. Last time, she basically said that Samter's Triad is just a label and what does it matter how you're labelled? That the triad is hardly unique and that lots of people have it. Well, it matters to me. I won't go back to another appointment where I get treated all, " This is your life...deal. " I thought that was what I was doing...in which case, I don't need her. The hell with her. In the meantime, I think she maybe has a point about the cystic fibrosis. I was looking at the symptoms and that's me. To an absolute T. I guess maybe I'll get tested if I ever get to the stupid pulmonologist. Today? Foot surgery. Some days, all of this is enough to make you want to scream. > I really want to create a Samters fact sheet, in addition to the group > brochure, that we can give to uneducated doctor's like Jessa's doctor. > Jessa, I would tell your ENT to call Dr. son at Scripps or Dr. Bosso > here in New York (I can get you his number) and consult with those doctors > to find out what other treatments are being done for Samters. Guest guest
Argh!! Stupid doctors. My nose surgeon says to me after the operation when I asked why I still couldn't smell ... "oh you have a very narrow and difficult nose, that's why" .. uuumm excuse me its the same nose I've had all my life and it did me just fine for the first 20 years of it .. Guest guest
Jessa, I never understand when doctors say the triad is common. I have only met one other person that has it, and that is through this list. I had breast cancer and have met hundreds of women that have that. I think I am going to start asking my doctors how many patients they have with this triad. My primary care physician in Manhattan sees hundreds and hundreds of patients literally and doesn't know a single other one. My ENT who sees hundreds of patients and has done thousands literally of polypectomies only knows a couple of others who have the recurrent polyps associated with Samters. But I'm going to ask them all again. The steroids ARE wildly effective. I do think we eventually become resistant to them. At least I did. But the problem is as you are describing. I hope you are able to try the Singulair in a higher dose like 20-30 milligrams and also maybe Zyflo if you can ever get your hands on it when they come out with the new formulation. I don't know what your symptoms of cystic fibrosis are, hope you don't have that but I guess it might be good to know if you do ... I know there are some new treatments in that field. Guest guest
That new photo of the adenoid location is very helpful. Thanks for it. The bladder infection resolution procedure will help many. I find that using the 4 in. wide Ace bandage to wrap my godzilla gloves for use on the liver is the best way to prevent the contortion necessary to use the gloves on that area. To switch polarity just by switching hand positions if fairly easy for the first minute, but before the 5 min. are up, that position gets pretty uncomfortable!! So by carefully placing the gloves, making sure all electrodes are touching skin, and then switching at the battery connection, comfort is maintained. I haven't done this very much, but the effect is somewhat similar to a liver cleanse. And without the Epson salts, grapefruit juice, and olive oil. pj
