Guest guest
Like I said you have to get creative somehow. I new going in to this surgery that I would be footing the bill if there were problems as it is an elevtive surgical procedure, even if you have problems most people don't get it convered by insurance, however it seems there are a few women on this site that have so maybe they can help you out on that issue, for me it was just a big pain and lots of money, and I am still paying for it. It sucks, but what choice did I have anyway. Sorry for not being more helpful. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the advice, I don't choose to be a victim and I will do what I can to get the insurance to cover my explantation. My husband is a resident alian from Canada. We must be very careful about our finances or he can be deported. My SS check is $314 a month, his take home pay from the state is about $1500 a month after taxes. With our house payment high electric bills, insurance and of course my medical bills and our car payment and so forth there is nothing left for us to spen the way it is. I cannot put the surgery on a credit card, because we could not be able to pay it back and eat let alone pay our bills. We don't borrow what we cannot repay, even if he were not from Canada we would not put our self at risk. It's difficult to make ends meet for 2 of us on one pay check. It may take me becoming very ill before the isurance will pick up the tab on this. I hope and pray that it won't come down to this for me/us, at this point we have no other choice but to keep fighting. Like I said I just wondered if anyone had normal breast MRI's or not... this could help me when I go before the appeals board. I have another MRI of the brain next Weds. the insurance will end up paying more in the long run for tests and specialist to figure out my symptoms and illness than it would cost them to have me explanted. In the last 5 years my medical bills have been over 100,000.00 You think that they would be thrilled to do something that may make me better! lol Anyway thanks a lot for the info and your thoughts I love my husband a bunch and I do not want to do anything that will risk his deportatio. We must remain financially solid or we run the very real risk of the US Gov placing him on a bus and sending him back to Canada. I will continue to keep this matter in prayer and look for miracles in Gods answers to my prayers. He always makes a way when there is no way! It will be His perfect timing and not my own... Is there any way you can see another doctor, such as Dr. Zamboni for a second opinion? Maybe you need to approach the insurance from a different angle, not based on rupture, but possibly capsular contracture. Well, I just got off the phone with you, and we covered a bit of ground.... I would suggst that you write Ilena Rosenthal and ask her to put your questions out to her group of worldwide women. You will be able to get responses from women who have had this exact situation and see what they might have to say about it. You can write Ilena at: ilena@... Having said that, I want to share with you a Scripture that I have always stood upon when people have had control over my life, who may have been making decisions that would greatly affect me. It has given me great comfort when I pray this and lay it at the foot of the cross, knowing that God is in control, even of the hearts of those who are " king " over me. It is Proverbs 21:1, and it says this: " The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes. " (New American Standard) The Amplified Bible says it this way: " The king's heart in in the hand of the Lord as are the watercourses; He turns it whichever way He will. " You see, nothing happens apart from the will of the Lord God above. Pray for a miracle, and that God will direct the heart of the " king " over you. God bless.
