dear all,

I have just joined following the advise of a dear friend (who's been

ranting about zapping for ages), to build the zapper pronto and begin

treating a kitten diagnosed with feline herpes (aka cat flu, aka

FVR). While conventional treatment may save his life, the virus will

remain in his system for life, to be shed at intervalls. Or

so 'they' say. As I am breeding cats (maine coons) and this little

prince was supposed to be my new stud, that is not acceptable at all,

despite the fact that of course we already love him to pieces and

can't stand the thought of having to give him up again to a single

cat home, so we need all the help we can get.

I've already spend two nights online trying to learn all there is

about this illness, and I will attempt the same here with the files

(but wowser, that will take much more then one night), and would be

very grateful of any immediate advise/prognosis that any of you may

have with animals, and so called uncurable/undestroyable viri?

Time is crucial, as we currently also have kittens who cannot be

vaccinated yet due to their tender age, so there is the risk of

loosing my whole family, so to speak, as I am probably a wandering

giant virus carrier myself by now, even with the upmost care and

trying my best. If there is any chance he can be cured and the virus

eliminated for good, we'll do whatever we can.

Please help?

Sincerly purring, Sorcy
